27th January 2013
Windsurfing: El Medano Tenerife
Wind Direction: ENE
Wind Stength: howling F5+
Surf / Sea State: big
Air Temperature: 20C
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 24kts (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: long

Big forecast came on time and the lighter Paul V Maker Ian went small gear whilst me and Mark stayed with 115L / 6.0 as not so windy on the beach to get out.
Horrendously over powered at times near the point but OK
Didnt get great GPS runs - 24knots as sea too big to try. All had very good sail, good day really for constant wind. Getting Knackered quick though as the GPS wind up and speed competition started amongst us with Lord Swain claiming and showing a GPS run of 34knots..bastard! didn't bother anymore after that spoilt sport killed off my ambitions. Gave Paul V my GPS.
Paul Ian and Maker headed closer to the harbour wall with their small kit, but was tempted, as you had to go out a long way for the beat up.
Kept falling in, losing ground so didn't bother. Millions of kites, learners etc made the beach very crowded, but yet another good day in paradise.
Had a long sail and now exhausted. Meal beer whisky kill the evening :) ...hey UK suckers snow gone yet?....
